"Anise Pork Roast" from Papa J's Ristorante, Carnegie, PA

1 Pork Roast 3 to 5 lbs.
Salt And Pepper 3 Tbsp Minced Parsley
2 Cloves Garlic minced
Flour 1 C Chicken Stock
1 Tbsp Anise Seed
1/2 C White Wine
Season the roast with salt and pepper, and cut 5 or more deep gashes in it. Fill these with a combination of parsley and minced garlic. Rub well with flour and put into a 350° oven for 30 minutes. During that time, make a baste of the stock, wine, and anise seed. Simmer it all for 15 minutes. At the end of the 30 minutes in the oven, reduce the heat of the oven to 325°, and cook for 40 minutes to the pound, basting every 15 or 20 minutes. If roast begins to become dry in the last hour of cooking, it may be covered with foil.

Portabello Panini Panned at Papa J's
DESCRIPTION: Don't order the Portabello Panini at Papa J's. The order is half the size of the other Panini's and is the same price. It was greasy and maybe had one mushroom on the entire sandwich. Also, if you are ordering just sandwiches and pizza, they don't bring out bread for you to dip in olive oil. The waitress was slow and I got the wrong change. I was told by the cashier to 'chase' down the waitress and discuss it with her.
