Wish There Was a Hot Dog Shoppe in GA!
DESCRIPTION: Boy, what we wouldn't give to have a good ole' hot dog down here. We just returned from Beaver Co. from vacation about a month ago. Brought back with us... about 35 plastic cups. What is sad is that we were there only a week! Never can get sick of them! Hot dogs and fries with chili...yummmy! Those of you that have had the misfortune of never experiencing the food there are really missing out! Can you buy a franchise? People around here laugh at us when we talk about the best hot dogs in the world... they're just jealous.

DESCRIPTION: The Hot Dog Shoppe has been a long time favorite of my group of friends. It is an excellent restaurant for relaxing and just having a good time. The food there is superb. The have the best hamburgers, hot dogs, and french fries of any restaurant I've ever eaten at. The wedding soup and pasta chili are also excellent. To show our appreciation to this wonderful chain of restaurant, my friends and I do a yearly tour of all of the locations in one day: The Hot Dog Shoppe World Tour.

A Chili Dog Like No Other
DESCRIPTION: You just can't beat a good chili dog with fries. In California they are hard to come by. I go to Fallston about every other year and my first stop is the Hot Dog Shoppe. I even have the little hot dog that wears the apron in my kitchen, he reminds me of the best hot dogs in the world are. The Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe!!!

DESCRIPTION: The Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe is a most excellent place to dine and relax. Whether you're coming home for a weekend to meet up with friends or just after a hard day of work, nothing satisfies like a great hot dog, hamburger, or fries from the Dog Shoppe. I've been a regular customer since I was a little kid and my mom would take me there. Even to this day I still enjoy the great food this place has to offer.

DESCRIPTION: My dad would take us to the original Brighton Hot Dog Shop when we were kids. My friends and I had a hot dog eating contest and I ate 14, needless to say I won. My prize was a two day gut-ache. The Dog Shop is a mandatory stop when I visit back home!

The Things I Miss Most
DESCRIPTION: I've gone to the Hot Dog Shoppe since I was a little kid. We'd visit family twice and year and would stop by two or three times a week for breakfast or lunch. Our Grandfather passed this past summer, and it's the little things like going to eat that i miss the most. The Hot Dog Shoppe was more than just a place to get great food to me.

DESCRIPTION: I just want to let you know that when I come to PA to visit my sister, I go to the Hot Dog Shoppe at least twice a day. Cause I can't get enough of your chili cheese dogs and fries. They are the best tasting dogs and fries anywhere. Wish They Were in Atlanta
DESCRIPTION: For nearly 50 years, I've enjoyed the hot dogs at the Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe. I remember well the original BHDS. While the original location on Brighton's 3rd Ave is the same today, the original BHDS was very small. If my memory is correct there were 4-5 stools at the counter. Hot dogs were 15 cents. A major earth quake couldn't shake Beaver County like it shook when hot dogs jumped to 17 cents. Nearly 50 years later, the hot dogs remain the same. I'm a purist. I always order "everything" hot dogs, which are chilli and onions. Only a "sicko" with poor tast buds would trash a dog from the BHDS. Many from the Valley migrated to Metro Atlanta for jobs. Often when we meet at "American Pie for Steelers games, we lust for dogs from the Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe. Last year I gave up my Falcons tickets to jump a cheap Delta Special for an up and back trip to the Hot Dog Shoppe, That right. On the way down to the Dome a buddy and I started talking about the BHDS. One thing led to another and we drove through downtown Atlanta to Hartsfield Airport. Delta had a $127 RT fare to the Burgh. We caught the 11:31 flight. Rented wheels at the airport and were sitting in the BHDS on 3rd Ave at 2:15. We finished eating at 3:00, and were on the return flight home at 5:30. When I walked through the door at 7:55 PM, my wife noticed a chilli sauce drop on my shirt collar. She said, "See you stopped by the Varsity -- dreaming about a Brighton Hot Dog, hugh?" I smiled, walked to my car and shared with her the dozen "everything dogs" I scored on the way out of the BHDS. They were cold, but she couldn't resist.

The Lunch and Dinner menus are great with the burgers and hot dogs; sometimes they also have a really good fish sandwich when it is on the menu..... just a lovely place to be in.

I Miss the Hot Dog Shoppe

DESCRIPTION: I was born in New Brighton and my father was a cop there. I remember him talking about how him and his patrol buddy would eat there (I always thought cops frequented donut shops) and have the chili dogs. I also spent many nights there with freinds just getting together and hanging out while in college. People here in California wouldn't know a good hot dog if it bit them in the @#!*&!! We have Weinersnietzal... big deal. Brighton Hot Dog Shop is one of my first stops when I visit back home. Long live the Brighton Weiner!!!!
